Sport & Exercise Science Graduate - Trainee Occupational Health Technician
Are you based near Wrexham and looking for an opportunity to get into Occupational Health?
We are seeking an Occupational Health Technician to join our client's expanding peripatetic team.
The successful applicant will be required to travel throughout the UK, to client sites in order to deliver health surveillance services.
This is a full-time role where you will work 37.5 hours per week, usually between the hours of 8.30am and 4:30pm.
You will be undertaking:
- Health surveillance screening.
- Audiometry
- Lung function testing.
- Drug and alcohol testing.
- General baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis.
- Additional tasks as requested, such as health promotion activities.
- Non-clinical tasks as requested in order to support the wider Occupational Health team.
Who we’re looking for:
- Previous Occupational Health experience including health surveillance and/or fitness for work medicals
- Able to complete overnight stays and travel throughout the UK (overnight stays would be Monday – Friday depending on client requirements)
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Experience and/or willingness to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
- Competent IT user (MS office suite and/or electronic medical records systems)
- Ability to work autonomously
- Great communication skills
